I have had a diverse professional life – from Electrical Engineer to Mortgage Broker/Banker.  As of January 2006, I started working as a mortgage broker/banker with a national mortgage company, Home123, a division of New Century Financial.  Prior to this position, I owned a Florida based mortgage company for 11 years.  I made the change from business owner to broker to have more time for family and friends as well as to pursue other interests such as traveling.

Prior to my interest in mortgages, which began over 17 years ago, my education and professional life was in electrical engineering.  My specialization and work was in power distribution, primarily in the water and wastewater industry.  This path changed when I chose to pursue my interest in investing in real estate.  To this day, I am committed to my passion in real estate. I have been a Rotarian for over 6 years and have served on the speakers’ bureau as well as our board.  For the last 2 years, I have served as the Club Services’ Chair.  I have found a great joy in my services through Rotary.

My personal interests are in real estate, travel, working out, health and wellness, shopping, dark chocolate, art festivals, reading, movies, and seeing/helping others succeed.  My passion for traveling comes from my fascination with people of different countries and their social habits, culture, cuisine and interests.  I have been to 16 countries. I look very forward to learning and experiencing as much as possible about Sweden, it’s people, culture, and life. I imagine this experience will allow me to tie together my love for people, their culture, interests and success with my love for Rotary and travel. I am honored to have this opportunity in life.

I was born in May 24, 1978 in the capital city of Lima, Peru. When I was 10 my family and I fled Peru to seek political asylum in the States. My father was in the military and was part of a counter-terrorism unit that fought against a terrorist group called Cendero Luminoso, “The Shining Path.” Moving to the states was a shock to all of us and it divided my extended family for 18 years. I can’t imagine how hard this must have been to both my parents; they divorce 2 years after.

Around 13 I become involved with music and it quickly became a big part of my life. I played the violin until I graduated from high school. During that time, I was 100% dedicated to this art. I read about music, I dreamed about music, and Loved playing music, It was my passion and my childhood dream. It will always hold a very dear place in my heart. Needless to say I love the performing arts, from a Broadway show to a small play, to a symphony orchestra or a string quartet. I love it all!

I am a self-taught web graphic designer and now work for Hollywood.com. A movie related web site covering the entertainment and media industries. We provide detailed movie information, including photos reviews, red carpet events, and cover live award ceremonies such as the Oscars and the Emmys.

I have a small family. It consists of my mother Miroslava, Owner of a Residential/Business Cleaning business, my sister Katherine, whom I am very proud of, is currently studying international business in Spain and my better half, Jose, my partner, he is a mortgage broker and the driving force in my life. The rest of my relatives live in Peru, and it has been 18 years since I see any of them. This will change soon for I am planning a trip to meet them in the near future.

I love traveling, the internet, video games, technology and gadgets J. I work out and exercise daily. I love to experience different cultures and I am looking forward to learning more about the Swedish culture, language the people and of course the cuisine! I also have an interest in the aurora borealis which unfortunately we won’t get to see in our stay. And I would love to se an opera or a symphony concert during our stay in Sweden.

I am single and originally from Columbus Oh. I have lived here 15 years and am an avid animal lover and currently have a cat Chardonnay, bird Pequito and a horse Blackie.

I have a BA in Psychology from Boston, University. I am a massage therapist and Acupuncturist. I have been in my profession for 12 yrs, and just added Acupuncture to my repertoire. I also do laser therapy in adjunct to my massage and acupuncture practice.

I was born in Caracas, Venezuela and I moved to the States when I was 12.  The first year was difficult because I had to attend school and learn English at the same time.  After that life got easier.  I graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a degree in Finance and Marketing, while working full time in the finance industry. I received my finance license in 2000 and since then have been working with my clients to help with their estate planning and retirement goals.  I am fluent in both English and Spanish. 

In my spare time, which is not much, I take care of Tarzan my boa constrictor.  I also like to scuba dive, go to the movies and I am an adrenaline junkie, therefore I like to skydive and ride any roller coasters.
